The lasty Advisor Minute discussed the two required positions of an Advisory Council – the Chapter Advisor and Advisory Council Chairman. This week we look forward at some of the other roles an Advisory Council may appoint.
Ritual
This advisor assists members in learning and performing their parts and inspires them to do so. Often, they are involved in rehearsals. They help coordinate participation in ritual tournaments.
Membership
This advisor works with the chapter membership chairman to set a program that encourages membership recruitment and retention. They may be involved with new member orientation.
Awards
This advisor works with the members to help them achieve various awards. They keep the records for merit bars. They encourage members to seek other awards, such as Representative DeMolay.
Fundraising
This advisor works with the members of the chapter to help ensure the financial well-being of the chapter by helping the members with their fundraising events.
Service
This advisor works with the chapter as they plan and execute service projects. In some chapters, one advisor may be assigned to civic projects and a second advisor may coordinate Masonic projects.
