The jewel is suspended from a red grosgrain ribbon wide. It consists of a wreath of laurel leaves, done in brushed yellow gold. Superimposed on the wreath of laurel are two crossed gavels in brushed yellow gold. Suspended from the wreath of laurel is a flat-type DeMolay emblem done in brushed yellow gold and enameled in red, white, and blue.
