The cordon is of white rayon. The tassels emerge from a fluted cone on either side of the jewel. The cords are held together by two rayon acorns. The jewel is of bright and Florentine gold. It is a passion cross with a blue background with a bright gold border. The transverse arm of the cross contains the inscription “DeMolay Legion of Honor.” The ends of the arms of the cross are nine stars in bright gold in bas relief against the blue background. The cross is superimposed on a wreath of laurel and two swords are positioned to bisect the angles formed by the arms of the cross. Above the cross is a half-red crown in bas relief and above it a maltase cross filled with red.
